Cabo is located on the southernmost point of the Baja Peninsula, a seven hundred and seventy mile stretch of desert landscape that divides the deep cold water currents of the Pacific Ocean from the warmer waters of the Sea of Cortez. Cabo’s downtown marina is perfectly situated in close proximity to the intersection of these two massive and bountiful bodies of water. Large gamefish follow massive schools of feeder fish from the Pacific into the Sea of Cortez (also known as the Gulf of California).

Among the large fish that you’ll have the opportunity to hook: Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Dorado (also known as Mahi Mahi or Dolphin Fish), Sail Fish, Sword Fish, Albacore Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowtail, as well as varieties of Sharks. Although each of these fish has its own peak season, there is excellent deep sea fishing off Los Cabos year ‘round. Dubbed "The Striped Marlin Capital of the World," Cabo San Lucas offers anglers an opportunity to land a trophy Striped Marlin any time of the year.

Cabo San Lucas is home to world-class fishing tournaments, drawing some of the best anglers from all over the planet. Bisbee’s Black and Blue Tournament, Bisbee’s East Cape Offshore Tournament and the Los Cabos Offshore Tournament are a few of the big money events held in the area.
